Kendrick Lamar’s The Blacker the Berry is straight fire

If you haven’t heard the Compton rapper’s latest, then here you go. The song, produced by Boi-da1 and Terrace Martin, tackles racial stereotyping, the legacy of American narratives of blackness and illustrates Lamar’s wonderful knack for slipping between an eerily sung hook and a rough, percussive set of rap bars.
